THOMAS-8 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-9 - This was a close game with the Cougars taking the first quarter lead into the 4-2 half. Thomas got one goal closer in the third and the two teams each scored three in the last quarter. Senior goalie Lily Brady (9s/7ga = 56% - 48 mins) reached her 400th career save in the game and was supported in the offense by Shaye Angelo (4g-1a), Paige Kidd (4g), and 8th grade midfielder Harper Jacob (1g-1a). Leading the scoring for Irondequoit (9-7) were 8th grade offensive player Lucy Whipple (1g-2a), Freshman Ellie Bottiglier (2g), Senior attacker Ella Brennan (2g-2a), and Senior midfielder Madelyn Thore (1g). GANANDA-MARION-6 at MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-17 - The Blue Devils finished their regular season at 9-7 and celebrated Senior midfielder Jackie Sinicropi (3g-4a) who reached her 50th career goal. Junior attacker Chelsea Korzeniewski scored five goals and two assists, and Senior midfielder Jackie Sinicropi added three goals and four assists while Junior offensive player Amelia Reese finished with three goals and two assists.  Gananda-Marion saw goals from Senior midfielder Colleen Ginsberg (4g-1a), and Sophomore midfielder Lexi Gallina (1g-1a).       [ BOX SCORE

Aquinas saw scoring from  Brynn Henry (4g-3a), Savannah Hinchcliffe (4g), and Marilena Diaz (1g). Sophomore midfielder Maci Mueller (8g-4a) reached her 150th career goal her 50th career assist in the game. Seniors Lainie Forde and Giana Delucia each had four goals. In the goal for Waterloo was Freshman Peyton Lyons with 7s/6ga = 54% (36 mins), and Junior Brigit Bowman with 2s/1ga = 67% (12 mins). # 691  Getting down to the End of the Season
strong>DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - In the last week of games in the regular season, there were ten games played today. Winners included R-H, Fairport, Pal-Mac, Eastridge-BK, Brockport, Waterloo, Wayne, Livonia-Avon, Pittsford and Irondequoit.

IRONDEQUOIT-12 at THOMAS-7 - Alison Baumgartner led the Eagles with three goals and an assist; she also recorded five draw controls, the first of which was the 100th of her varsity career.  Ninth-grader Ellie Bottiglier added three goals for Irondequoit (9-6), and Emma Francis had 10 saves.  Olivia Bottoni had four goals and Megan Springer made nine saves for Thomas (5-10).  Both teams conclude their regular season Wednesday, Irondequoit with a home match against Penfield, and Thomas with an away game against HF-L.        [ BOX SCORE

GANANDA-MARION-4 at WAYNE-11 - With the win, the Eagles improved their season record to 8-7.  Leading the scoring for Wayne were Isabella Veltre (3g/1a), Madelyn Hillman (3g), and Emma Lockwood (2g).  Mimi Ugalde had six saves to anchor the Eagles’ defense.  There were no statistics reported from Gananda-Marion (3-11) at post time.  Both teams take to the road Wednesday, with the Eagles facing Geneva and the Blue Panthers taking on Mynderse-Romulus.         [ BOX SCORE

GATES CHILI-7 at BROCKPORT-11 - The win by the Blue Devils was their 26th in a row over Gates Chili dating back to 2009.  Audrey Nichols and eighth-grader Molly McJury had three goals apiece for Brockport (5-10), and ninth-grader Jessica Maher and Leah Breuilly combined for 10 saves.  There were no statistics reported from Gates Chili (1-9) at post time.  The Blue Devils visit Eastridge/Bishop Kearney on Wednesday.  The Spartans’ next game is Thursday, also at Eastridge/Bishop Kearney.       [ BOX SCORE

FAIRPORT-19 at ORCHARD PARK-7 -  The Red Raiders broke their four-game losing streak and ended their regular season with a non-league win.  Ella Peers, Katie Mallaber, and Camryn DuBose each had three goals for Fairport (10-6); Peers also secured a game-high 10 draw controls.  Aubrey Caruso, Meghan Arserio, and ninth-grader Brenna Goss scored two goals apiece.        [ BOX SCORE

MERCY-11 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-13 - The Royal Comets erased an 11-10 fourth-quarter deficit with three late goals.  Kate DeWald tallied four goals and collected seven draw controls to lead Rush-Henrietta (12-4) in its regular season finale.  Danielle Garrett added two goals and three assists; her third assist was her 50th as a varsity player.  There were no statistics reported from Mercy (7-8) at post time.  Mercy hosts Brighton on Thursday.          [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-1 at PAL-MAC-18 - Ten players scored for Pal-Mac (11-4), led by Reagan Diehl (4g/1a) and Jenna Santelli (4g).  Lily Boesel contributed two goals, including the 50th of her varsity career, Jaelyn Drain scored her first varsity goal, and Teagan Hudak broke the single-season record at Pal-Mac for draw controls.  For the Panthers of Geneva (3-11), Isabella Bonventre scored the lone goal and Maddie Askin made eight saves.  The Red Raiders conclude their regular season Wednesday when they travel to Livonia-Avon.  The Panthers also resume play Wednesday when they host Wayne.        [ BOX SCORE

MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-11 at WATERLOO-14 - Waterloo scored two unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to break open a one-game game and secure the win.  Leading the scoring for Waterloo (10-4) were Maci Mueller (6g/4a), Lainie Forde (5g/2a), and Bailey Rossignol (2g/1a).  Chelsea Korzeniewski had five goals and three assists for Mynderse-Romulus (8-6).  The Tigers have a home game against Newark-Midlakes on Wednesday.  The Blue Devils host Churchville-Chili on Tuesday.         [ BOX SCORE

LIVONIA-AVON-17 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-15 - With the Screaming Eagles down two players in the fourth quarter, the Lakers scored the tie-breaking goal and a late insurance goal to seal the win.  Sidney Clickner (7g/1a) and Lily Rowe (4g/2a) combined for 11 goals and 14 draw controls to lead Livonia-Avon (9-5).  For Newark-Midlakes (4-11), Stella Del Papa had six goals (including the 150th of her varsity career) and two assists to go with 10 draw controls; eighth-grader Zoey Overslaugh had six goals as well.  The Lakers host Pal-Mac Wednesday.  Also on Wednesday, the Screaming Eagles travel to Waterloo for a matchup against the Tigers.         [ BOX SCORE

EASTRIDGE/BK-17 at AQUINAS-11 -  Eastridge/Bishop Kearney (8-5) was led by Ashley Mandeville, whose six goals included the 50th of her varsity career, and Jillian Willis, who tallied five goals.  Kayla Gerson and Ada Krupa each chipped in three goals, and Nina Alderman recorded nine saves.  There were no statistics reported from Aquinas (8-6) at post time.  Both teams are back in action on Wednesday, when Eastridge/Bishop Kearney hosts Brockport and Aquinas plays host to Hilton.       [ BOX SCORE

# 683  Canandaigua Over Fairport
HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-4 at PITTSFORD-11 - The first half was close with the Panthers leading 4-3 at the break, but they opened it up in the second half outscoring the Cougars 7-1. Paige Kidd scored all four goals and Camryn Trybuskiewicz had three assists for HFL. There was no report from Pittsford at post-time. # 664  Irondequoit and Victor Win in Overtime
strong>DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - 8th grader Lucy Whipple scored her only goal in the game, but in overtime for the win fro Irondequoit in their game with Spencerport. Victor also won their game against Brighton in overtime and the Saints won their game against the Storm, 6-5 in another exciting Section V day of lacrosse.

# 650  Penn Yan and Waterloo Both Win by One Goal
PENN YAN-7 at IRONDEQUOIT-6 - The Mustangs edged the Eagles in another close match.  Bailey Cooper had five goals and one assist for Penn Yan.  For Irondequoit, Ellie Bottiglier and Grace Bottiglier each had two goals.  Eighth-grader Lucy Whipple also had two goals, including the first of her varsity career.  The Mustangs resume play on Friday, when they visit Corning (IV).  The Eagles next play on April 10 at Churchville-Chili.   [ BOX SCORE] - - More images in the photo gallery.

RUSH-HENRIETTA-16 at THOMAS-0 - The Royal Comets enjoyed a successful season opener, led by the scoring of junior Danielle Garrett (4g/3a), sophomore Kate DeWald (4g/1a), ninth-grader Emma DeWald (3g), and sophomore Riley Brown (3g).  Kate DeWald also collected nine draw controls, including the 100th of her career.  On April 4, Rush-Henrietta travels to West Genesee to play a team to be determined, and Thomas visits Pittsford.    [ BOX SCORE

Penn Yan at IrondequoitSPENCERPORT-12 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-6 - Spencerport defeated HFL this evening in HFL by a score of 12-6.   Molly Guzik led the Rangers with 4 goals, 4 assists and 8 Draw Controls, while Share Angelo (3g) was the leading scorer for the Cougars.  Spencerport carried a slim 5-4 lead into the half but pulled away in the final two frames to double up the Cougars by games end.     [ BOX SCORE

PENFIELD-6 at VICTOR-14 - Penfield fell short in its contest against last year’s class B champions.  Allie Pisano (4g/1a), Devin Livingston (4g/1a), Julia Bruno (3g/1a), and Maia Pronti (4a) provided the lion’s share of the scoring for Victor.  There were no statistics reported from Penfield at post time. .Both teams have non-league contests against section II opponents next week; Penfield hosts Bethlehem on April 1, and Victor travels to Saratoga Springs on April 4.    [ BOX SCORE

CANANDAIGUA-21 at BROCKPORT-1 - The Canandaigua Gray Wolves travelled to Brockport this evening to open their season with a 21-1 victory.  Hanna Davis (4g-2a), Samantha Lupton (5g-1a), and Leah Sheridan (4g-2a) each tallied 6 points in the convincing win.  Zoe Baase scored the lone goal for Brockport while Goalie Jessica Maher notched 10 saves.  Brockport will try to shake off the loss tomorrow against Gananda-Marion, while Canandaigua will wait a week before their next contest when they will visit Mercy on 4/3.    [ BOX SCORE

Waterloo vs Storm FAIRPORT-11 at BRIGHTON-7 - Fairport opened its season in defense of its class A title with a win at Brighton.  Lily Kondas (5g) and Katie Mallaber (3g) led the Red Raiders’ attack, while Taylor Frank made nine saves.  For the Bruins, Ella Brunette and Alexandra Madison had two goals apiece.  On April 1, Fairport has a non-league matchup against Cicero-North Syracuse (III).  Brighton plays next on April 12, when they host Victor.     [ BOX SCORE
